Sorting on the list endpoints and newest-first Zapier samples

Improvements

  • Sort the list endpoints — GET /api/v1/contacts, /companies, /deals and /tasks take sort and order: created_at, updated_at and each list’s own columns, newest first unless you say otherwise. See Sorting.
  • Zapier shows your newest records — While you set up a contact, company, deal or task trigger, the test loads your three newest records to map from. A connection made with the earlier version of the Zapier app now says so and asks for a new one, instead of finding no records.
Logged activity, record timelines, files, and CRM migrations with history

New

  • Log what happened outside Orbit — A Log menu on every contact, company and deal records emails, calls, meetings, SMS and messages that happened elsewhere, dated when they happened, with who did it. Nothing is sent.
  • One timeline per record — Companies and deals now have an Activity tab, and the contact timeline shows logged activity and notes next to form submissions, bookings, sequence sends, emails and dialer calls. Agents read the same feed with get_timeline.
  • Files on records — Upload files to contacts, companies and deals (up to 25 MB), add them from a link, download them later. Agents bring files in from URLs with import_file_from_url.
  • Import history, not just records — POST /api/v1/activities/import loads notes, tasks, emails, calls, meetings and messages in batches of 500, keeping their original dates, authors and ids, and can be undone. Contacts, companies, deals, notes and tasks accept created_at and an external_id, so a scripted migration can pass the source system’s ids straight through and re-run safely. See Migrating from another CRM.

Improvements

  • Notes now hold up to 65,536 characters and flatten pasted HTML to text.
  • New scopes activities:read / activities:write and files:read / files:write; self-registered MCP clients pick them up on their next sign-in.
Sequence handoffs, HubSpot owner sync, and AI credit alerts

New

  • “Added to another sequence” exit option — Automatically remove a contact from a sequence when they’re added to one or more sequences you choose. Perfect for handing contacts off from one campaign to the next. Find it in your sequence’s Settings → Exit criteria.
  • HubSpot contact owner sync — The HubSpot destination in workflows can now mirror the OrbitForms contact owner to the HubSpot contact owner, so the right rep owns the record in both tools. Enable it per workflow with the new Sync contact owner toggle.
  • AI credit alerts — If your AI credits run out, we’ll email you and show a warning on the Billing page so your AI-powered workflows never stop unexpectedly.

Improvements

  • Smarter meeting gates — Cancelled meetings no longer count toward a sequence’s “Meeting booked” exit condition or the “Skip if meeting already booked” entry check, and skip reasons are now shown when a contact isn’t enrolled.
  • Faster marketing site — Public pages load noticeably faster.
  • Billing page refresh — A cleaner, easier-to-scan billing summary with a quicker way to change plans.
  • Security hardening — A round of platform-wide security improvements.

Fixes

  • Sequence analytics now correctly show delivered, open, click, and bounce metrics.
  • Publishing a sequence no longer fails because of hidden leftover steps.
  • Backspace and delete now remove variable pills in the token editor as expected.
  • The contact page now shows friendly labels for every sequence exit reason.
