OrbitForms is available as a plugin for ChatGPT, backed by the OrbitForms MCP server. Once connected, ChatGPT can work your whole CRM: search and update contacts, companies and deals, add tasks and notes, read your forms and their latest submissions, check a host’s availability and book meetings, review and run email sequences, build and run workflows, set up the dialer and log call outcomes, and manage webhook subscriptions. It can also set the CRM up for you, creating custom fields, pipelines, stages, saved views and teams (see Build your CRM). Every connection is scoped to one team and the permissions you approve.

Before you connect

  • An OrbitForms account. Book a demo if you do not have one.
  • At least one form, contact, or scheduling page in the team, so there is something to work with.
  • Sequence tools require a plan that includes sequences; booking tools work best when the host has a connected calendar in Settings → Email & Calendar.

Install from the plugin directory

  1. In ChatGPT, open the plugin directory and search for OrbitForms.
  2. Choose Install, then Connect. ChatGPT opens the OrbitForms consent screen.
  3. Sign in to OrbitForms if asked, pick the team ChatGPT may access, review the permissions, and choose Authorize.
  4. Back in ChatGPT, type @OrbitForms in a new conversation to use it, or just ask — ChatGPT picks the plugin when your request matches.
You can disconnect at any time from the plugin’s settings in ChatGPT or by revoking the connected application in OrbitForms.

Connect the server directly

To connect without the directory (for example in a workspace that allows custom MCP servers), open chatgpt.com/plugins, choose Add custom MCP server, and enter:
Choose OAuth for authentication. ChatGPT discovers the OrbitForms OAuth server, identifies itself with its client metadata document, and sends you to the consent screen. No client ID or secret is needed.

What you can ask

“Who submitted the Demo Request form this week, and which companies are they from?”
“Which deals over $20k haven’t moved in two weeks? Create a follow-up task for each owner.”
“Add a Renewals pipeline with Upcoming, In review, Committed, Renewed and Churned stages, and a Renewal date field on deals.”
“Here’s our HubSpot export. Map the columns to Orbit, then import the companies, contacts and open deals.”
“Find the contact for jane@acme.com, tag her as a customer, and add her job title.”
“Is Marcus free for a 30-minute intro call on Thursday afternoon? Book the first open slot with priya@lumenstudio.example.”
“How is the Demo follow-up sequence performing, and who is still active in it?”
“Enroll every contact tagged webinar-2026 in the Demo follow-up sequence.”
“Send new qualified submissions to https://hooks.example.com/orbit.”

What the plugin can do

Available Tools lists every tool with its required permission and annotations. Every tool is annotated: read tools are marked read-only, and tools that change data, send email or calendar invites, start workflows, or deliver data to an external endpoint are marked as such. ChatGPT uses these annotations to decide when to ask for your confirmation before running a tool.

Not included

Deleting forms, submissions, contacts, companies, deals, meetings, sequences or workflows, placing calls, buying phone numbers, and managing workspace members or billing are not available through ChatGPT by design. Use the OrbitForms app or the REST API for those.

Permissions

The consent screen lists every permission ChatGPT asks for and names the host you will be returned to. Permissions cover a single team; connect again to grant another team. When a tool needs a permission you did not grant, ChatGPT shows a link-account card so you can add it. See MCP Server for the scope list and revocation options.

Troubleshooting

  • The plugin shows “Not connected”: open its settings in ChatGPT and choose Connect to run the consent flow again.
  • A tool says a permission is missing: use the account card ChatGPT shows to re-authorize with the extra permission, then ask again.
  • No submissions or meetings appear: tools only see the team you picked on the consent screen. Disconnect and connect again to switch teams.
  • Booking returns 409: the slot was taken between lookup and booking. Ask ChatGPT to fetch slots again and pick another.
  • Still stuck? Email support@orbitforms.ai or use the contact form.
